The Do’s
- Do sweep with a antistatic mop.
- Do damp mop with a mild cleaner specified by the coating manufacturer.
- Do vacuum with a soft head vacuum with no wheels.
- Do place mats at entry points to the floor.
- Do install Blinds or Curtains to protect the floor from direct sunlight.
- Do insure your sub floor ventilation is adequate, it may be necessary in some instances to consider mechanical ventilation.
And Don’ts
- Don’t let grit build up on the floor.
- Don’t wet mop the floor.
- Don’t steam mop the floor.
- Don’t wax the floor or apply generic ” Floor Shine ” products. Some coatings require maintenance coatings and these are fine however specific information should be provided to you by your flooring contractor at the time they coat your floor.
